Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam called upon the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia not to do dirty politics over the Narayanganj killing incident, reports BSS.
He alleged that BNP chairperson has again been hatching conspiracy to install communal forces in power.
"Begum Zia has proposed abolition of RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) for the Narayanganj incident. Through her proposition, she has proved that they are in favour of installing communal forces in power," the Minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion on "No Alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for Welfare of the Country and its People against the Backdrop of Current Politics" organised by Awami Hawkers' League at the National Press Club in the city Tuesday with Awami Hawkers' League president SM Zakaria Hanif in the chair.
AL Dhaka city unit organising secretary Shahe Alam Murad, Krishak League vice-president MA Karim, general secretary of the organisation Md Zahid Ali and joint general secretary Kamal Hossain addressed the function.
Turning to Khaleda Zia's Narayanganj visit, Mr Quamrul said: "Begum Zia paid a visit to Narayanganj Tuesday, 17 days after the incident. I am afraid whether she causes spreading of fresh violence there."
Mr Quamrul, also a joint general secretary of Dhaka city AL, said: "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has, by this time, taken adequate steps for the trial of the killers of Narayanganj incident. The real culprits would be identified and tried soon."
The minister said the present government would not go for investigation into the killings on someone's dictates and stage 'Jodge Miah drama' what the previous government did.
The AL leader said: "A vested quarter has been trying to create anarchy in the country at a time when Bangladesh has been governed peacefully under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They have no public support, neither they have organisational strength to throw any programme. They unleash terrorism hiring terrorists in their bid to usurp power by creating unrest in the country again."
