Sunday, 20 April 2014

Food Minister Quamrul Islam on Sunday said that if any form of anarchy is perpetrated in the name of long march, the consequences will be very serious. “We have no objection if you (BNP) organise long march towards Teesta. But if there is any anarchy in the name of long march, its consequences will be very serious,” he said. The minister said this while addressing a discussion organised by Amra Muktijoddhar Shantan at Jatiya Press Club in the city on the occasion of Mujibnagar Day. BNP will stage a long march towards the Teesta Barrage in Nilphamari on April 22-23 demanding due share of the river water for Bangladesh from India, according to a news agency.
