Quasem Drycells approves 10pc dividend

The 26th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Quasem Drycells Limited approved 10 per cent cash dividend for the financial year 2006-07.
Quasem Drycells Managing Director and CEO Tasvir Ul Islam presided over the meeting held at IDEB Bhaban, Kakrail in the city recently.
The AGM adopted the balance sheet and the profit-loss account for the year 2006-07 and reports of the directors and auditors thereon.
The company earned net profit of Tk 4.89 million in the year 2006-07 against Tk 3.85 million in the preceding year.
The managing director, in his speech, informed the shareholders that the company has already launched the new product 'LED flash light' and also trying to launch other new products and diversify the business activities for strengthening the growth as well as increase the sales and profitability.
