Question paper leaks represent a terrible problem with no instant solution and the Question Paper Leaks Prevention Committee is searching for a permanent solution, according to head of the committee Dr M Kaykobad, reports UNB.
The professor of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), said this while addressing a roundtable on Saturday.
Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) organised the dialogue between educational experts and students on 'Question Leak and its Solution' at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro on Saturday.
Dr Kaykobad said the country's people are not that honest where they will not use leaked question for better results, so ethical enhancement is not the solution of the problem now.
He said, 'We need to innovate such a way with the help of technology which precludes questions from leaking'.
In the discussion many participants from different educational institutions and debate clubs raised their voice about the reason of the problem and also recommended probable solutions from their viewpoints.
The participants mentioned about GPA-5 achieving tendency, minimum GPA score as an admission conditions in better colleges, loops in administrative systems, political denials and ignorance about it, and absence of taking proper and visible legal steps against the criminals as the reasons behind the phenomenon.
On this point of discussion a panel member, Sayeda Atikun Nahar, Associate Professor of Institution of Education and Research of Dhaka University, said the principle of education is amplifying the potential of a child, whereas public examinations are not enough to judge their development.
