Question paper leak syndicate busted in city

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested four suspected members including a physician of a gang of leaking question paper of medical college admission test from the city's Mohakhali DOHS area.
The arrestees are: Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan, 41, ringleader of the gang, Dr ZMA Salehin alias Shovon, 40, SM Sanwar,30, a teacher of E Haque Coaching Centre and Akhteruzzaman Khan Tushar, 38, managing director of Laily-Abed Construction Company.
"We arrested the four from a flat of house no-432, road no-30 at Mohakhali DOHS area around 5pm yesterday (Monday) along with 13 cheques of around Tk 12.2 million of different banks and Tk 38,000 in cash, 88 copies of two model question papers with their answer sheets," RAB media wing director Mufti Mahmud Khan said in a press briefing Wednesday.
The criminals collected the money from different admission seekers after confirming their admission to different medical colleges, he also said.
Ringleader of the gang, Jasim Uddin, who is a businessman, was arrested earlier with 20 members of the gang on September 30 in 2011 and later got released on bail.
Dr Salehin, who did MBBS from Dr Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka, and practised in Noakhali, mainly prepared the list of the students, who wanted to get them admitted to medical colleges illegally, a BSS report added.
