The qul-khwani of Mir Ayesha Begum, mother of journalists Mashuk Chowdhury, Raihan M Chowdhury and Ashraf Haider Chowdhury, was held at Hazipara residence of Khilgaon area in the city Friday.
Mir Ayesha, wife of late Altafur Rahman Chowdhury, died of old-age ailment on August 18 in the city.
She was buried at Moniandha of Akhaura in Brahmanbaria district. She left behind seven daughters, four sons and lot of relatives to mourn her death. She is the grand mother of Moinuddin Mohammad Rahagir, planning and reporting manager of British American Tobacco, Ferdousi Nahar of Economics Department of Dhaka University, Nusrat Jahan Mouri, intern doctor of Sylhet Medical College and Shahjada Ahmed Pahlovy of Kuchi University of Japan.
