RAB arrests gunrunner in city

suspected gunrunner along with firearms and ammunition from the city's Gulistan area on Sunday night, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Rashid, 43, son of late Md Rafiqul Islam of 161/3 Siddique Bazar.
Based on secret information, a team of Rab-2 conducted a drive in Siddique Bazar area around 8:20 pm and challenged Rashid for his suspicious movement, said ASP Ruhul Amin Sarker of the Rab battalion.
Searching his body, the elite force recovered three foreign pistols, 239 bullets, four magazines and Tk 5.89 lakh, US $160, 100 Saudi riyal and 100 Euro, he added.
During preliminary interrogation, Rashid reportedly revealed that he had long been involved in illegal arms trading.
