RAB DG visits puja mandap in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Oct 11 (BSS): Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) AKM Shahidur Rahman has said those, who are spreading rumours and misinformation and are involved in subversive activities especially in social media centring the Durga Puja, have remained under surveillance of intelligence agencies.
"We won't spare anybody for spreading misinformation in cyber and social media centring the Durga Puja," he said while responding a media query during his visit at Kripamoyi Kali temple near Joydevpur railway line on Wednesday night.
The RAB director general said members of the law enforcement agencies have been deployed at different temples to prevent any sorts of terrorist activities there.
"Rapid action is being taken at those places where minor accidents were reported," he said adding a number of people have been arrested and detained for their alleged involvement in sabotage in some districts across the country.
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Zahidul Karim, Company Commander of Porabari RAB Camp Major Junnarine along with senior officers of RAB, Army and Police were present during the visit.
