RAB man among two injured in gunfight with terrorists

SAVAR, July 31 (UNB): Two youths were arrested after a gunfight with RAB troops at Ramchandrapur in Tetuljhora union of the Upazila Tuesday morning that left two people, including a RAB man, injured.
ASP of RAB-11 Mohammad Solaiman said two teams of RAB encircled a jute field to arrest the 'terrorists' at about 11.30am.
Sensing presence of the elite force, the youths opened fire on them, triggering a gunfight.
Some 10-12 shots were traded during the half-an-hour gunfight, leaving Ainal Haq alias Ainar one of the youths, wounded.
The RAB personnel caught two of the youths -- Ainal and Shahabuddin alias Sabu and recovered four sharp weapons and 50 bottles of Phensidyl from the spot.
The other youths managed to flee along with their firearms.
Yamin, a member of RAB-11, was injured when the youths hit him with sharp weapons. He was given first aid. The arrested were taken to local RAB office for interrogation.
