RAB nab brother and sister with Yaba in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Apr. 17: Elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday recovered 13,850 pieces of Yaba tablet and arrested two persons, including a female, for their alleged involvement in smuggling of the narcotic item.
The arrestees were identified as Md Tanvir Hossain (28) and his sister Rowshan Ara Begum (32)- son and daughter of Azizur Rahman, a resident of Jotkartik at Nandangachi under Charghata thana in Rajshahi.
Sources said acting on secret information, a team of RAB conducted a search in a Dhaka-bound bus in Karnaphuli bridge area in the morning and recovered 13,850 pieces of Yaba tablet and arrested the duo from the spot.
RAB officials said the brother and sister used to smuggle Yaba from Cox's Bazar every month identifying themselves as tourists.
Legal action will be taken against them.
