RAB nabs 22 gamblers

JOYPURHAT, Sep 27: A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 22 gamblers from Amazon Lily Club Friday night.
On a tip-off, the RAB team raided the club and arrested the gamblers.
Those arrested were UP Chairman Shabu of Amdoi Union Parishad, Jahirul Huq of Sugar Mill area, Golam Kibria of Batar crossing, Toffazzal Hossain of Uttar Joypur, Showkat Hossain of Batar crossing, Mohammad Ali of Professor Para, Bulbul Hossain of Sugar Mill area, Enamul Huq of Masjid Road, Mosharraf Hossain of Pachur Chwak, Jewel of Biswas Para, Gaziul Alam of Thana road, Mamunur Rashid of Master Para, Shahin of Harail village, Mokkarram Hossain of Biswas Para, Rezaul Karim of Iraq Nagor, Moffazzal Hossain of Puchur Chwak, Nirmal Kumar Mondol and Gonesh Zaduria of Shyampur, Shyamchandro of Churi Patti, Biswanath of Dhanmondi, Giri Dhari of Dhamuirhat Upazila under Naogaon district, and Gazen of Shibganj Upazila in Bogra district. All those arrested are well known businessmen.
The RAB team seized about Tk 0.112 million, and mobile sets from them.
A case was filed with Sadar thana in this connection.
