RAB nabs 7 over suspected link to radical groups

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested seven people, including four youths who went missing from their homes in Cumilla and elsewhere, over their suspected link to radical groups.
The arrestees are: Hossain Ahmad (33) , Md Nesar Uddin alias Omaer (34) and Boni Amin (27)- all from Patuakhali district; Imtiaz Ahmed Rifat (19), Md Hasibul Islam (20), Roman Sikder (24) and Md Sabit (19)- who left their houses in Cumilla before their arrest on Wednesday night.
Director (Legal and Media) of RAB Khandaker Al Moin disclosed it to the media at the elite force's media centre in the capital's Karwan Bazar on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-11 conducted separate drives in Munshiganj, Narayanganj and Mymensingh districts and arrested them.
The crime busting force also seized three types of publicity books on neo-terrorist organisation, guide books on preparing explosives, and a tab from the arrestees, said Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB's legal and media wing, while briefing reporters.
