RAB sues 16 pirates killed in \\\'gunfight\\\'

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Tuesday filed two cases against 16 pirates who were killed in ‘gunfight’ with the law enforcers at the Sundarbans.
“Rab Barisal -8 Deputy Additional Director Kamrul Islam filed the cases for murder and arms possession with Swarankhola Police Station against Kholilur Rahman and 15 other unidentified pirates, those killed in gunfight with Rab,” Swarankhola Police Station OC Md Rezaul Karim told a news agency.
On August 30 this year Khalilur Rahman, 32, hailing from Pathorghata upazila of Barguna district and second-in-command of pirate gang ‘Monir Bahini’ was killed in a gunfight with Rab at Dorjarkhal area in Swarankhola upazila the OC added.
