Rab turns into cancer goes beyond reform: Khaleda

Wednesday, 28 May 2014

MUNSHIGANJ: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has branded Rapid Action Battalion as a cancer and called for its immediate dissolution.
“Rab has turned into a cancer going beyond any reform” Khaleda told a public rally in Musnshiganj town Wednesday, according to a news agency.
She likened Rab to the post-independence Rakkhi Bahini that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s government had formed to fight particularly the Sharbahara rebels.
Khaleda accused Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government of using the elite crime-busting force for abductions, forced disappearances and killings of political opponents.
“Rab has now become a terror,” she said. Saying that none is safe under this government the BNP chief said called for a united movement to oust it.
“This time movement will be waged throughout the country, including Dhaka,” Khaleda said asking the people to join the anti-government agitation.
She once again called for holding new election under a neutral government.
“Hand over power to a neutral government and then say goodbye,” she said pointing to the government.
