SIRAJGANJ, June 13 (BSS): The Kachari Bari in Sirajganj's Shahjadpur, which belonged to Rabindranath Tagore, has been reopened for visitors after a two-day closure.
The authorities of Kachari Bari halted entry of visitors on Wednesday following tensions created over an incident of alleged misconduct and beating of a visitor during the Eid holidays.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sirajganj Muhammad Nazrul Islam officially announced the reopening of Kachari Bari on Friday by handing over an entry token to a visitor.
DC Nazrul Islam said there was no attack on Rabindra Kachari Bari, and there was no security deficiency there.
"Kachari Bari is completely intact. The attack was mainly on Rabindra Auditorium next to Kachari Bari. The attack was not targeting at Kachari Bari, but centered on a personal incident between an expatriate visitor and a staffer for an entry token. This incident did not happen due to fundamentalism or any political reason," he added.
