Rabindranath's birth anniversary today

Today is the 149th birth anniversary of the great Bangali poet Rabindranath Tagore, reports UNB.
Different social and cultural organisations have taken up programmes to observe the day. President M Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid their rich tributes to the poet on the occasion.
Tagore, whose philosophical and spiritual thoughts transcend all limits of language, culture, and nationality, is closely related with us in our everyday feelings, happiness, pleasure and woes, they said.
In a message on the eve of the day, President Zillur Rahman said, "Our bonds with Rabindranath are getting closer with the passage of time as his literature has become a source of inspiration and courage for us during the days of our any crisis or debacle".
