Rail services on Dhaka, Ctg, Sylhet routes resume

KISHOREGANJ: Train communications of Dhaka with Sylhet and Chittagong remained suspended for four hours as two bogies of a freight train derailed at the outer-signal of Bhairab Railway Station in Bhairab upazila Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Bhairab GRP Station Saiful Islam said the two bogies of the Chittagong-bound freight train from Dhaka went off the tracks at the outer-signal of the station around 1:45 pm, according to a news agency.
On information, a relief train from Akhaura rushed in and salvaged the derailed bogies.
Khalilur Rahman, Stationmaster of Bhairab Railway Station, said the train services on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet routes resumed at about 5:35pm after the lines were cleared.
