Railway introduces e-ticketing

Bangladesh Railway has introduced electronic ticketing service to ease sufferings of passengers and stop black marketing of railway tickets. Communications and Railways Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the e-ticketing system at a function at Rail Bhaban in the city Tuesday noon. Talking to the journalists, Obaidul Quader said, initially Bangladesh Railway would sell 10 per cent of total tickets through its e-ticketing service. "The online sale of railway tickets will be increased gradually," he added. — UNB
