Railway to sell tickets of Sept 24 Saturday

Bangladesh Railway (BR) will sell advance tickets of September 24 Saturday for the home-bound passengers before the Eid-ul-Azha.
Advance tickets of September 23 were sold from Kamalapur (Dhaka) and Chittagong railway stations today, BR sources said.
The selling of Eid tickets is going smoothly in Kamalapur railway station under the supervision of senior officials.
BR has taken all-out preparations to ensure smooth journey of passengers during the Eid.
The BR is adding 138 passenger coaches to its fleet after necessary renovation to cope with the increased passengers during the Eid. Besides, 25 rail engines would also be repaired in the factory for the purpose.
All measures have been taken to stop black marketing of advance tickets. Monitoring by law enforcers and intelligence agencies has been increased.
Officials said the selling of advance tickets would continue from 9 am to 5 pm everyday till September 19.
The return Eid tickets would be on sale from September 23 to 27.
