Rain brings respite

Dhaka dwellers were relieved of scorching heat Saturday by a splash of rain.
Gusty winds blew Friday afternoon after record-breaking temperature over the previous few days, but there was no rain.
Rain came Saturday afternoon, though in drizzle. However, the cool breeze that accompanied it was a welcome respite for Dhaka citizens.
The eastern metropolitan Sylhet also had rain for an hour coupled with thunderstorm.
Though Dhaka dwellers did not get to see any rain Friday, the people of Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Brahmanbaria, Mymensingh and Comilla were blessed. But the northern region is yet to see any rain, according to a news agency.
