Thursday, 19 June 2014

Rain has forced play to stop with India on 37 for four wickets in 12.3 overs in their 3rd and last One-Day International against Bangladesh at Mirpur in Dhaka on Thursday. Pacer Al-Amin Hossain sent two Indian batsmen back while Mashrafe bin Mortaza and Taskin scalped one each. Cheteshwar Pujara (7) and Suresh Raina (15) were trying to salvage the situation for the visitors at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Opener Robin Uthappa (5) went back early edging a Mashrafe Mortaza delivery to Nasir Hossain at first slip in the fifth over. In the next over, pacer Al Amin Hossain’s extra bounce suprised the other opener Ajinkya Rahane (3) who also edged for an overhead catch to Nasir. The impressive Taskin Ahmed struck first ball as Ambati Rayudu (1) snicked a short delivery straight to the wicket-keeper, Mushfiqur Rahim. Al Amin picked up his second in the 10th over, forcing Manoj Tiwary (2) to edge a short delivery to the second slip. India are 2-0 ahead in the series having won the first by seven wickets and second by 47 runs, according to bdnews24.com.
