Rain may continue for 2 more days

Wednesday, 24 September 2014

Rain is expected in various parts of the country for another two days.
Much of the country, including capital Dhaka, had medium to heavy rainfall  Wednesday, like the past several days.
The country’s highest rainfall - 59 mm - was recorded in Mymensingh until 6pm, the Met office said. Dhaka recorded 17 mm.
Senior Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid told bdnews24.com: “Similar weather may continue until Friday. After that, there might be showers in between sunny conditions for two more days.”
He said the monsoonal wind was ‘still active’ before the season’s end in early October. Until then, occasional rainfall was likely.
The Met office, in its 24-hour forecast, said Wednesday that light to heavy rainfall with gusty wind or thunder shower was expected in many places in Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and a few areas of the Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
A Met office release said the weather might change slightly over the next two days but would remain almost the same during the five subsequent days.
In the long-term forecast for October, it said the monsoon might end within the first half of the month.
The Bay might see two depressions, one of which might turn into a cyclone, during this period.
