Parts of Bangladesh may witness drizzle Monday, on the day of the Eid-ul-Azha, the Meteorological Department has forecasted.
People are rushing back home to celebrate the festival with their families.
In its Saturday’s forecast, the Met Office said most time of Monday would be sunny although there were chances of light rain as the monsoon wind was still active at the end of the rainy season, according to a news agency.
Iswardi, Khulna, Madaripur, Tangail, Sitakunda, Syedpur and Patuakhali saw light rain Saturday.
Rain on Eid-ul-Azha morning would likely to hamper Eid prayers and sacrificing of animals.
Senior Meteorologist Kamrul Hasan said a weak monsoon wind was hanging on the south of the Bay.
According to him, the rainy season in Bangladesh might end by the second week of October.
The Met Office has forecasted that one or two lows at the Bay might turn into a cyclone this month.
