Rainfall and public suffering

Thursday, 3 October 2019

It has been a new normal that the city's traffic system would collapse once it rains. When many streets of the city went under water after shower on Tuesday, the sufferings of commuters, especially elderly people and women, knew no bounds. Despite emphasis on improving the city's drainage system, it has deteriorated instead over the years. We as citizens don't also look at weather report for planning our days so that we can avoid embarrassing experience whenever possible. As various development works are going on, we hope, the problem with drainage system would be addressed on a priority basis.
