Raising voice against sexual harassment

Monday, 2 November 2020

Sexual harassment of women continues to remain pervasive across the country. It happens almost everywhere and anywhere --- even in public places and transports.
We often see women getting harassed and verbally abused in public transports by a section of male passengers, drivers, and their associates. Hardly does anyone come forward when a woman is harassed and verbally abused in a public bus. Why does it always have to be young women protesting against these kinds of harassment of women?
Sexual harassment is a social ill and also crime and it should be tackled socially. Both men and women can work together to address this social menace. Male passengers of public transports should come forward and raise their voice against such sexual harassments.
