Rajbari MP Keramat\\\'s motorcade attacked, 20 injured

A clash in Faridpur, which erupted after a car in Rajbari MP Keramat Ali’s motorcade banged into a truck, left over 20 injured on Saturday. Locals at Piyarpur on Nurumia Bypass Road in Faridpur Sadar upazila damaged four cars of the MP’s motorcade, when it was heading to Tungipara of Gopalganj district. Faridpur’s Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamr Uz Zaman said that three persons have been arrested over the fracas. Witnesses said a car of the 20-vehicle motorcade crashed into a truck on the Nuru Mia Bypass Road at about 10.00am, after which the MP’s men attacked the truck. The clash broke out when locals gathered in some numbers and swooped on the motorcade. leaving at least 20 people injured. Police rushed to spot and brought the situation under control. After that, the MP's motorcade started off for Gopalganj, said ASP Zaman. Keramat Ali was not available for comment, according to bdnews24.com.
