RAJSHAHI, Apr 4 (BSS): Family members of Abul Kalam Asad alias Rajib, final year MBBS student of Dhaka Medical College (DMC), who was killed in Monday's clash on the DMC campus, sought intervention of Prime Minister (PM) for arresting and punishing the killers immediately.
Addressing a press conference at Chilies Party Zone here Saturday morning they also demanded proper inquiry into the incident to bring the killers to book.
Rajib's father Riaz Uddin Sarder, uncle Selim and maternal uncle Haider Ali addressed the press conference, among others, saying some 50/60 outsiders and student leaders were involved in the killing.
In a written statement, Riaz Uddin, a resident of the city's Kalabagan area, said that his son has been killed in a planned way and called for arresting the killers before reopening the college.
He said that his family members would file a case with the concerned police station in this connection as early as possible.
He said Rajib had scored 10th position in combined merit list in SSC examination from Rajshahi Laboratory School in 2000 and passed HSC examination scoring star marks from Rajshahi New Government Degree College in 2002.
