Rajon murder case trial not to be delayed: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Thursday said the trial of 13-year-old boy Samiul Alam Rajon murder case won't be delayed as it would be shifted to a speedy trial tribunal for quick disposal.
"Not a single person of child Rajon would be spared. Red alert notice has been issued through Interpol to bring back Kamlrul Islam, an accused of the case," he told reporters after paying tributes to the Smriti Soudha (monument) of Birshreshtha Sepoy Hamidur Rahman at Daloi tea garden near Tripura border-area under Kamalganj upazila in Moulavibazar.
Kamrul Islam was detained in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, four days after the Rajon was tortured to death at Kumargaon on the outskirts of Sylhet city around 7:30am on July 8, a BSS report said.
The minister said the law and order situation of the country is now better than earlier.
"Bangladesh is not now in a situation as earlier. Keeping pace with the advanced world, it is turning into a prosperous country. Law and order situation is very better than the earlier times. The people are leaving in peace," he said.
Kamalganj Upazila Awami League president M Mosaddek Ahmed Manik and general secretary and Upazila chairman Professor Rafiqur Rahman were present on the occasion.
