Rajshahi college teacher killed in road accident

RAJSHAHI, Jan 30 (BSS): A college teacher was killed on the spot in a road accident in Soipara area on Rajshahi-Naogaon Highway under Mohanpur Upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Shamsher Ali, 40, a teacher of Mohanpur Degree College and resident of the same area.
Jakirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Mohanpur Police, said the accident occurred when a speeding truck knocked down a human hauler carrying Shamsher Ali from behind around 8:30 am.
Being informed, police recovered the body. On request, police handed over the body to the family members without post-mortem.
A case was recorded with the police in this connection, the OC added.
