Rajshahi housewife gets life term for killing husband

RAJSHAHI, Feb 11 (UNB): A tribunal here on Tuesday convicted a woman and sentenced her to life term imprisonment for killing her husband over a family feud in 2010.
The convict was identified as Momtaz Begum, 40, wife of Golap of Kazipara village in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
The court also fined her Tk 5,000, in default, to suffer six months more rigorous imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, Momtaz along with some miscreants hacked Golap to death over their family problem on August 8, 2010.
Later, Azizur Rahman, brother of the victim, filed a murder case with Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station.
