Rajshahi IITF-2007 begins at Collectorate ground

RAJSHAHI, Dec 25 (BSS): The month-long Rajshahi International Industry and Trade Fair (IITF)-2007 began at the Collectorate ground here Tuesday.
The main objective of the fair is to familiarise the local industrial and agro-based products both in national and international markets along with encouraging the consumers to use the products.
Various luxurious and consumer products like textiles, crockeries, silk, handicrafts, cottage, jewellery, jute goods, mobile phones and other household goods are being exhibited at the fair.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division Shafiul Alam attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest with RCCI President Hasen Ali in the chair.
Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Mahbub Mohsin and RCCI Vice-president Khondoker Mainul Islam also addressed the inaugural function, among others.
A total of 125 stalls and 12 pavilions have been set up at the fair, arranged by Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
