Silk yarn is also being carried to the stores of the factory from various places of the country so the mills of the factory do face shortages of raw materials during its operation.

To save the traditional silk of Rajshahi, Bangladesh Reshom Board, Banglasesh Sericulture Research and Training Institute and Silk Foundation were merged together and Bangladesh Silk Development Board was formed in 2013. Fazley Hossain Badsha was selected as the Senior Vice President of the Board. Soon after the restructure of Bangladesh Silk Development Board, Fazley Hossain Badsha took initiatives to restart the closed silk factory.
