Rajuk conducts eviction drive at Mirpur

Rajuk Thursday conducted an eviction drive in the city's Mirpur area to retrieve car parking space from commercial buildings.
Rajuk (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha), the city developer, had started the drive from October 11 as per the DMP's list to reclaim parking spaces that the errant building-owners have been illegally using to make money.
The demolition drive, led by Rajuk executive magistrate Md Rokon-ud-Doula, raided five buildings, including Patwary Tower (Snowtex Apparels), Upama Plaza, Mirpur Diagnostic Centre and Sarat Garment. The team demolished a number of warehouse, shops and offices, illegally installed at the parking space.
