RAJUK conducts eviction drive at Mirpur in city

The city development authority RAJUK demolished on Wednesday illegal extensions to several buildings and fined their owners Tk 0.5 million (5.0 lakh) during an eviction drive in the city's Mirpur area.
The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) also recovered parking areas by roadsides and on the ground floors of some buildings by evicting 23 shops in Sections 13, 14 and 15 of Mirpur.
The RAJUK said in a statement, a task force comprising Khandaker Alior Rahman, an executive magistrate and director of RAJUK, along with authorised officer Md Mobarak Hossain, conducted the raid to demolish illegal extensions like balcony and roofs of buildings.
