Lawyer Imam Hasan on behalf of the Rajuk placed a report in this connection before the High Court bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Mohammad Showkat Ali Chowdhury in compliance with its earlier order.
Then the court directed the three-member inquiry committee formed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to submit a report in this connection within 60 days of receiving the order. Besides, it has fixed July 9 for further hearing on the issue.
Senior lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan appeared in the court on behalf of the Anti-Corruption Commission, while Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented the state and lawyer Imam Hasan represented the Rajuk.
Imam Hasan said almost all the documents lost from the Rajuk server were recovered. A BUET team helped them recover the missing documents.
Following a news report the High Court on January 2 sought explanation over the reported loss of around 30,000 clients' documents regarding permission for construction of buildings.
The court asked the Rajuk chairman to submit a report on whether the reported incident of lost documents was authentic and what steps taken about it in 30 days.
The lost documents are the clients' applications for construction permit from May 2019 to December 6, 2022.
