RAJUK teams to monitor bldg construction

Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakka (Rajuk) has formed a number of teams comprising representatives of different professional bodies, civil society, REHAB and land developers to monitor the building-construction in the city. Officials familiar to the process told BSS that the monitoring team, accompanied by magistrate first class, started functioning since the first week of this month to identify the unapproved and illegal buildings and demolish the structures. Earlier, RAJUK served notices to a good number of building owners who constructed installations without taking approval from authorities or deviated from the approved design by breaking existing rules and guidelines of the regulatory body.
