Rakib shares 2nd slot with 12 others in C'wealth Chess

Grandmaster Abdullah Al Rakib jointly share the second slot with 12 players securing five points after the 6th round of the Commonwealth Chess Championship in New Delhi Thursday, reports UNB.
Another two Bangladeshi GMs Niaz Murshed and Reefat Bin Sattar earned 4.5 points each to jointly share the 3rd position along with 17 other players.
FM Kh. Aminul Islam secured 3.5 points while IWM Rani Hamid earned 2 points.
In the 6th round matches, Rakib beat IM Mahmood Lodhi of Pakistan, Niaz defeated Nikhil Shyam, Reefat lost to GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly, Amin lost to FM Sehaj Grover while Rani Hamid lost to Prantik Patil.
IM Himanshu Sharma leads the points' table with 5.5 points after the 6th round.
