RAKUB disburses Tk 361.9m in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Sept 3: Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) disbursed over Tk 361.9 million (36,19,76,000) in Nilphamari in the 2006-07 financial year through its different branches across the district.
The bank's total target of loan disbursement in Nilphamari was over Tk 464.2 million, out of which it was able to distribute 78 per cent to its customers.
One official of the bank said, the number of the bank's total borrowers in the district is 79,751. The amount of classified or defaulted loans is Tk over 1111.14 million, and outstanding loan is over Tk 1982.63 million.
Out of the total disbursed loans in different sectors, the target of crop loan disbursement was Tk 190.0 million, and actually disbursed Tk 178.4 million.
The target of fisheries loan was Tk 1.0 million, and disbursed Tk 0.21 million. The target of livestock loan was Tk 40 million, and disbursed Tk 18.9 million.
Besides, the target of agriculture and irrigation loans was Tk 3.0 million, and disbursed Tk 3.11 million. The target of agro-based industry loan was Tk 10 million, but disbursed only Tk 60,000.
The target of cash credit was Tk 160.8 million, and disbursed 84.2 million. The target of poverty reduction loan was Tk 30.2 million, and disbursed Tk 10.7 million.
On the other hand, the target of miscellaneous loans was Tk 30 million, and disbursed Tk 66.2 million.
