Ramadan: high time for giving up smoking

Friday, 25 May 2018

As an ex-smoker, I always feel bad when I see that someone is smoking. I have quit smoking ten years ago and now I feel much better than before. I gave up the harmful habit after lot of efforts with trials and tribulations. It's certainly not easy. But if a smoker keeps in mind many positive sides of smoking-free life, he will certainly be encouraged to give up smoking. Smoking has serious long-term effects on our health like heart disease, lung cancer, increased blood pressure, tooth decay and many other awful health problems. Good news for the smokers is that once we stop taking tobacco, our internal immune system repairs the damages to some extent. We should know that life is not merely being alive, but being well.
