Rana\\\'s bail plea rejected

A Narayanganj court on Sunday afternoon rejected the bail petition of former RAB-11 officer MM Rana arrested earlier in connection with abduction and killing of 7 people in Narayanganj district on April 27. The Senior Judicial Magistrate, Narayanganj, passed the order on completion of hearing of both the prosecution and defence on a bail plea filed by Rana. On April 27, Narayanganj City Corporation councilor and panel mayor Nazrul Islam, the district bar association member Advocate Chandan Sarker and five other people were abducted from Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road and three days later their bodies were recovered from Shitalakkha and Dhaleswari rivers. Two cases were filed, according to a news agency.
