Rangpur BNP convener resigns

RANGPUR, Sept 26 (bdnews24.com): Rangpur district Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) convener Ashraf Hossain has resigned on the grounds that he did not get cooperation from party leaders, local BNP leaders said Friday.
Former Rangpur district BNP office secretary Salekuzzaman Salek said, "Ashraf Hossain Barda himself told me that he had resigned."
Joint convener Shamsuzzaman Shamu said, "I heard he sent his resignation letter to the (party's) central office."
They also said he had been summoned to Dhaka and his resignation letter addressed to the party secretary general was yet to be accepted.
