Rangpur JP leader hacked

Some miscreants chopped a local Jatiya Party (JP) leader, leaving him critically injured in Rangpur city on Wednesday. The victim was identified as SM Yasir, member secretary of the city unit of JP. Confirming the incident, Rangpur city JP convener Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa said a group of people, equipped with sharp weapons, swooped on Yasir in front of his house in the morning and hacked him indiscriminately. Yasir was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Tension prevailed in the city following the incident, according to private Tv channels.
