Rangpur\\\'s rail link with rest of the country restored after 6-hr

Rangpur's rail communications with other parts of the country was restored on Thursday night after 6 hours of disruption due to derailment of a train in Lalbagh area in Sadar Upazila on Thursday afternoon. The Dinajpur-bound ‘Burimari Express’ train derailed in Lalbagh area near the outer signal of Rangpur Railway Station around 2:15pm, snapping Rangpur city’s train link with rest of the country. At least 10 passengers of the train were injured as they tried to get down from the derailed compartments hurriedly. A salvage train of the Bangladesh Railway’s Lalmonirhat Division rushed to the spot and began rescue operation around 7:00pm, which ended around 9:10pm, according to a news agency.
