Rasheda for holding fair upazila polls

GAIBANDHA, Apr 28 (BSS): Election Commi-ssioner (EC) Rasheda Sultana on Sunday underscored the need for holding the sixth upazila parishad election across the country in a free, fair and credible manner.
"As the 12th Parliamentary election was held on January 7 successfully at the initiative of Bangladesh Election Commission, in continuation the commission wants to hold the upazila election free fair and acceptable.
Accordingly, the upazila election would be held in a festive mood through active participation of the voters and the concerned, she said.
Rasheda Sultana made the comments while exchanging views with journalists at a press briefing held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office here in the afternoon as the chief guest.
