Rashidul Huq, new Vice-Chairman of Officers’ Club

Khondoker Rashidul Huq, former Director General of the Department of Environment, has been elected Vice-Chairman in the Officers’ Club Election (2007 - 2009) securing the highest number of votes, says a press release.
Rashidul, a former journalist associated with the then Pakistan Observer and Associated Press of Pakistan was previously elected twice Vice-Chairman, Treasurer unopposed, and Joint Secretary of the Club.
The post of Vice- Chairman of the Officers’ Club is the highest elected post. The post of the Chairman is always held ex-officio by the cabinet secretary of the government.
Rashidul worked as Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, and Bangladesh Handloom Board, and had held many important posts of the government.
