Raushan makes courtesy call on Abe

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Jatiya Party leader Begum Raushan Ershad Saturday made a courtesy call on visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Sonargaon Hotel in the city. Officials familiar with the meeting said they exchanged pleasantries and discussed issues of bilateral relations and agreed to reach the Dhaka-Tokyo ties to a new trajectory. Earlier in the evening, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia also made a courtesy call on the Japanese premier, according to a news agency.
