Raushan meets President in Singapore

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Raushan Ershad on Sunday met with President Mohammad Abdul Hamid in Singapore. The Press Secretary to the President Ehsanul Karim said that the meeting took place at the York Hotel in Singapore city. Raushan inquired about the President’s health during the meeting, Ehsanul Karim informed. Bangladesh’s ambassador to Singapore Mahbub Uz Zaman and Military Secretary to the President, Maj Gen Abul Hossain, were present when the two leaders met. President Hamid went to Singapore for medical check-up on November 11 from China, where he took part an international meet. He is scheduled to return home tonight (Sunday), according to a news agency.
