Raushan urges govt to take quick steps to tackle flood situation

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and chief patron of Jatiya Party Begum Raushan Ershad has urged the government to take quick steps to tackle the flood situation in the country, reports BSS.
"The government will have to take quick steps to tackle the flood situation," she said in a statement on Thursday.
"Due to the severe erosion of the Jamuna River caused by the upstream flow of water, many lands and houses in Tangail and Sirajganj are going under water," said Raushan.
