Rayer Bazar, North Bengal CA win

Rayer Bazar Athletics Club and North Bengal Cricket Academy won their respective matches in the Metropolis 2nd Division Cricket League at two separate venues Saturday, reports UNB.
Rayer Bazar SC beat Young Pegasus A team by six wickets at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah while North Bengal Cricket Academy defeated Dhanmondi Cricket Academy by five wickets at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
In Fatullah, Young Pegasus A team batted first after winning the toss and were all out for 139 runs in 37.4 overs with Obaidullah Shuvo scoring 42 runs.
Jibon Hossain and Kamal Hossain grabbed three wickets each conceding 13 and 46 runs respectively.
In reply, Rayer Bazar AC reached their target making 143 runs for the loss of four wickets in 28.2 overs with Hasanuzzaman Ripon hammering unconquered 71 runs off 79 balls, featuring eleven fours and one six.
Ziaur Rahman bagged three wickets for 32 runs.
At Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Dhanmondi Cricket Academy opened the innings first after winning the toss and scored 154 runs for six in a curtailed 20 over a side match with Ajmal Hosain Rinku scoring 52 and Towhidur Rahman 43 runs.
Maksud Alam took two wickets giving away 19 runs.
Chasing a challenging target, North Bengal CA scored 158 runs for 5 in 19.2 overs with Mushfiqur Rahman contributing not out 44, Rahul Khan 42 and Azam Arman 32 runs.
Sakirul Islam and Mohammad Shakil claimed two wickets each conceding 25 and 30 runs respectively.
The other two league matches between Bangladesh Biman and Gulshan Youth Club, and Lalmatia Club and Mirpur Cricket Academy, were abandoned at BKSP ground 2 and 4 respectively due to wet outfield following overnight rain.
