Rayerbazar graveyard project okayed

The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) Tuesday approved Rayerbazar (mass killing field to be converted) Graveyard Development Project involving Tk 5.05 billion (505.60 crore), reports BSS. The implementation of the project in the area under Dhaka-13 parliamentary constituency will begin in July this year and end in December 2013, said an official release. Local MP and State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Jahangir Kabir Nanak has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and members of the ECNEC for approving the project. Under the project, facilities would be created for 80,500 graves. Besides, sheds for prayer, boundary walls, roads, walkways, drains and bridges would also be constructed.
